Big Chat 8

This summer’s Big Chat was a chance for us to feedback in a ‘you said we did’ style session about a number of schemes and initiatives we discussed with residents at previous events. In addition, we asked people for ideas and opinions on how we can balance the books and manage our finances in this challenging time for all NHS organisations.

The event was held in Bootle and included updates from our CCG team on topics ranging from our transformation programme, Shaping Sefton, to our repeat prescription ordering scheme and changes to Care at the Chemist. There were table based discussions, where attendees were asked for their views, along with a Q&A surgery for anyone who had questions about their local NHS.

We welcomed south Sefton's new community services provider, Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust who took over the running of these services on 1 April 2017. Members of Mersey Care’s team described how the provider is responding to the feedback we gained from residents during our community services review in 2016 and to the vision in Shaping Sefton. Mersey Care also spoke about what local patients and residents can expect from them in the future.

Have a look at the main presentation to find out about the other topics we discussed at Big Chat 8 and keep an eye out on our YouTube page to hear what those who attended thought of the event. You can also read a summary report of the event, which captures all the feedback from the event, including key themes from table discussions.
